Cologne Cathedral – An epitome of Gothic architecture

November 26, 2017

Hopping on a train to Cologne from Berlin on one Saturday morning, almost 5 hours later I found myself staring at Cologne Cathedral in awe.

It is an epitome of an Gothic architecture and a witness of the human history and capability, standing still over the centuries since the beginning of construction in 1248.

The sensation goes on as you step inside-very precisely created yet dynamic stained glass works are simply pleasure for eyes.
